Accounts
Q: Do I need an account to browse listings?
No. You can browse ARMSLIST without being logged in.
Q: Why should I create an account?
You need an account to contact sellers, list items for sale, add items to your watchlist, and receive listing alerts.
Q: How much does it cost to use Armslist?
You can sign up for free. If you sell a lot of items or need advanced features you can upgrade to a Premium Account.
Premium Accounts
Q: What is a Premium Account?
If you upgrade to a Premium Account you will pay a monthly membership fee. Premium Accounts have access to more website features, exclusive content, and no listing fees.
Q: Is Premium for me?
If you create three or more listings per month, upgrading to a Premium Account will save you money. Premium Accounts pay no listing fees.
Q: How much does a Premium Account cost?
$6.99 per month for individuals and $30 per month for vendors.
Q: How do I cancel my Premium Subscription?
In your account dashboard you can cancel your Premium Membership at any time. Your account will switch from a Premium Account to a Free Account and monthly charges will end.
Q: I was charged more than expected. What gives?
Armslist only charges $6.99/mo for individuals and $30/mo for vendors. Any further charges are likely return charges or NSF fees from your financial institution. We suggest contacting them regarding the fees.
Vendor Accounts
Q: What is a Vendor Account?
If you are a Pawn Shop, Firearms Dealer, Retailer, or hold an FFL you need a Vendor Account. The Vendor Account is designed for businesses and dealers.
Q: How much does a Vendor Account cost?
$30 per month or $300 per year.
Q: I have multiple locations. Can they share a single Vendor Account?
No. Each location will need to register for an account.
Q: Do I need an FFL to create a Vendor Account?
No. However, your account will be restricted. You will not be allowed to list firearms and you will not have access to features like Dealer Direct.
Q: I signed up for a Vendor Account but it's pending approval. What's up?
It typically takes 1-3 business days for Armslist to review and approve your account. If it has been longer than 3 days, please contact us.
Creating Listings
Q: How do I create a listing?
At the top of the page click the Sell link and choose Create a Listing. or...
In the main menu, select Sell -> Create Listing. or...
In your account dashboard select My Listings -> Create a Listing
Q: How much does it cost to create a listing?
Premium Accounts: No listing fee. Create as many listings as you like.
Free Accounts: $3 per listing
Q: How long is a listing active?
After you publish your listing it is active for one month. After one month, you have the option to renew the listing for $3.
Q: Can I pause my listing?
Yes - You may pause your listing to temporarialy hide it. The listing will automaticlly resume after three days.
Q: How do I completely remove my listing?
You cannot completely remove a listing from your account. However, you can end the listing and it will move to your archive. Archived listings are automatically deleted after 12 months.
Q: Can I create multiple listings for the same item?
No. One listing per item and one item per listing. If you violate these terms your account will be suspended. No exceptions. No refunds.
Dealer Direct
Q: What is Dealer Direct?
A Dealer Direct listing is only visible to dealers within 100 miles of the seller. For example, let's assume you want to sell a rifle but you only want to interact with dealers. You will create a Dealer Direct listing. If any dealers within 100 miles are interested in your rifle they will send you offers. The general public does not see Dealer Direct listings.
Q: Who is Dealer Direct for?
Dealer Direct is perfect for estate sales, inherited firearms, and selling directly to dealers. It may take longer to sell your item but you will only receive offers from dealers with a FFL.
ARMSLIST Points
Q: What are points?
When you are logged into the website you will earn points for certain actions. For example, commenting on a blog article, creating a listing, adding an item to your watchlist, and so on. You can use these points to purchase gear and swag from our store.
Q: Do points expire?
No.
Q: How do I earn points?

Q: How much is a point worth?
Points have no cash value, are non-transferrable, and may only be redeemed in the Armslist store.
Buying & Selling Transactions
Q: Can Armslist help me conduct a buying or selling transaction?
No. Armslist is purely a service provider that allow sellers to list items. As such, Armslist can not and will not be a party in transactions. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer and seller to conduct safe and legal transactions. View the buying and selling pages for more information.
Q: Can Armslist contact a seller for me or provide me with information about a user?
No. Due to our privacy policy, Armslistcan only provide information to law enforcement during due process of law.
Q: How can I ensure transactions are conducted safely and legally?
Please contact your local sheriff's office and ATF branch office to learn how to conduct proper transfers in your area.
Q: What is the safest way to conduct out-of-area transfers?
Armslistwas designed for local interactions, please use the site accordingly.
Scams
Q: What should I do if I suspect a listing is a scam?
Click the Flag Listing button on the listing details page. We will receive an alert and investigate the listing ASAP.
Q: How do I avoid scams?
Follow these common sense rules to help avoid getting scammed:
- Transact in person, with one of our verified Premium Vendors, or through our recommended escrow partner GunTab - This will help you avoid almost all scams!
- Never send Cashiers Checks or Money Orders to sellers
- Never wire money via Western Union, Moneygram, or other wire services
- Never accept Cashiers Checks or Money Orders as they can be easily faked
- Never give out financial information
- Avoid deals involving shipping, unless you use our recommended escrow partner GunTab
- If a deal is too good to be true, it probably is ARMSLIST is not involved in any transaction, we do not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer "buyer protection," or "seller certification."
Q: What should I do if I've been scammed?
Please do the following:
- Contact your local police department via their non-emergency number.
- File a report via the Internet Fraud Complaint Center.
- Contact us and include the URL to the listing so we can remove the listing.
Q: Can ARMSLIST help if I've been scammed?
We take every precaution to prevent scammers from using the site. Unfortunately, beyond our efforts to prevent scammers there is little we can do.
You are the best resource to prevent and stop scammers. Please take the steps listed previously if you are the victim of a scam. Also, please refer to our tips and heed the warnings on the site on how to prevent getting scammed.

Q: What is the discount?
Active military and veterans receive 50% off Premium Memberships! We use GOVX to verify your service. You can verify with GOVX when you signup for an account or you can verify in your account dashboard at any time.
Q: What is GOVX?
GovX is a service that instantly and securely verifies an individual's Military status, without the individual having to upload any documents, or share sensitive information.
Communication
Q: How do Buyers and Sellers communicate?
It is highly recommended to use the Armslist messaging system when contacting buyers and sellers. This keeps all communication within Armslist. Use the Contact Seller button if you want to contact the seller. Do not call, text, or email the seller directly.
Q: Do I have messages?
When you receive messages a notification will appear in the website header. Your messages are also available in your account dashboard. If you have unread messages you will receive a reminder email.
