Before You Sell a Firearm...
It is your responsibility to know the local, state, and federal laws that apply to you. Armslist does not offer legal advice or condone the sale or purchase of any firearm or accessory. Armslist does not participate in the transaction between the buyer and seller.
If you have questions regarding the sale or purchase of firearms, we suggest:
Check the NRA Website
The NRA maintains a database of firearm laws by state. Select your state from the list to learn more:
Sell directly to local dealers. Avoid the noise of public listings with Dealer Direct.
Dealer Direct listings are only visible to firearm dealers within 100 miles of your location. You will receive offers to purchase your item from local dealers only.
The general public does not see Dealer Direct listings.
No. When you create your listing you may specify local-pickup, shipping, or both.
When you sell to a dealer you will receive payment by cash or check. If you sell to an individual you may specify your preferred payment method in the listing description. For example, you may accept cash, personal check, certified check, or money order. As the seller, you choose the accepted form of payment.
Be aware that payment apps like Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and others do not allow transactions for firearms or accessories. Check the Acceptable Use Policy of your payment app before you use it to buy or sell firearms.
If you do not want to sell to the general public you may create a listing that is only visible to local dealers. Dealers will make offers to purchase the item. It may take longer to sell your item but you will only interact with licensed, local, firearm dealers.
