A Beautiful high quality American made reproduction of the Colt Lightning Medium-Frame slide action repeating rifle chambered in .44-40 Winchester. Featured a polished blued finish, 26" octagon barrel, flat blade front sight, semi-buckhorn adjustable rear sporting V-notch sight, full-length magazine tube, smooth trigger, case hardened hammer with knurled spur, steel frame, two-piece hand checkered American walnut slide handle and smooth straight grip shoulder stock with crescent metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits approximately 99%+ of it's original polished blued finish showing only superficial handling marks with no wear observed. Action is smooth, the bore is pristine, and the wood stocks are fine. Less than 400 made in .45 colt, .44 WCF, .38 WCF, calibers at the Hartford Connecticut plant once owned by Colt.
